About the Brescia University Center for Employee Advancement Strategies

The purpose of the Brescia University Center for Employee Advancement Strategies, or CEAS, is to help facilitate a culture of transparency and effectiveness in communication, inclusive leadership and decision-making, and a team-based approach to community growth and well-being.

The program goals will be identified by your organization and applied to all staff who will participate in the course. The CEAS aims to:

  • Contribute to building a culture of connectedness across the organization’s staff.
  • Advance transparent, open, and effective communication in and across all areas.
  • Improve inclusive and cooperative leadership and decision-making across the organization.
  • Grow mutual understanding, appreciation of, and trust among and within all institutional levels.
  • Contribute to the continuous development of communication, critical thinking, self-reflection, and life-long learning skills among all staff.

The program’s learning outcomes will align with the goals and include identified skills in the areas of communication, critical thinking, and metacognition, delivered through fields of liberal arts and holistic teachings. After the course, participants will be able to demonstrate the ability to:

  • Listen actively, employing authentic compassion and reducing implicit bias.
  • Initiate and manage difficult conversations effectively.
  • Apply understanding of organizational structure complexity to levels of decision-making.
  • Use team-based approaches to problem-solving.
  • Develop tools to create an open and inclusive working culture across the organization.
  • Engage in continuous self-reflection, self-evaluation, and self-development, leading to mutually supported community growth.
